ConVault,
Inc. began in 1986 when Thomas
R. Lindquist devised a radical (at the time) new method
for aboveground storage of flammable and combustible liquids
in a safe and acceptable manner. The affordable new "protected
aboveground storage" technology was designed to address the
concerns of environmental and fire safety officials, incorporating
many of their requests and suggestions. It also provided a
more esthetically pleasing and useful fuel storage system
with a longer warranty than was available at the time.
Located
in the San Joaquin Valley in central California, the company
flourished as local government agencies and businesses became
aware of the safety and ultimate cost savings that the ConVault
aboveground storage tank (AST) offered. As sales to the federal
government and nationwide businesses increased, expansion was
inevitable. An additional plant was opened in Florida in 1989.
Licensees now manufacture the ConVault AST in California,
Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia,
Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Australia,
Canada, Japan and Slovakia. The numerous sales locations can be found
in Contact & Purchasing
Info.

Although many companies are now producing storage systems born
of this technology, ConVault remains widely respected as the
leader in environmentally sound and fire protected tank technology
today. In fact, ConVault is the brand of choice for the federal
government. This is only natural considering the impeccable
record that ConVault has established, with over 30,000 units
installed without a system failure.
